SUPPORTED CYCLOPENTADIENYLMETAL CARBONYL COMPLEXES II *. POLYSTYRENE.sUPPORTED CARBONYL AND NITROSYL DERIVATIVES OF GROUP VI TRANSITION METALS

چکیده
Tricarbonyl hydride derivatives of cyclopentadienyl-chromium, -molybdenum and -tungsten compounds covalently linked to a macroreticular polystyrene support are obtained by treatment of polystyrene-attached cyclopentadienyl anions with the respective metal hexacarbonyl and subsequent acidification. In contrast to the ease with which unsupported cyclopentaruenyl·chromium and -molybdenum tricarbonyl hydrides lose H2 to form dinuclear carbonyl s~cies, no H2 is released from their polymer-suPIl0rted counterparts below about 180°C, and no dinuclear species are detectable after partial thermal decomposition at higher temperatures. The identity of the polymer-supported chromium species is conImned by its conversion into nitrosyl derivatives.

Reactions of Biscyclopentadienyl Vanadium with NO and XNO
Very few nitrosyl derivatives of the first transition elements are known [1, 2], [^-C5HsCr(NO)2]2 has been obtained by reduction of ^-CsHsCrNOCl with sodium borohydride [3]. The only known cyclopentadienylnitrosyl vanadium complexes are T?-C5H5V(NO)2CO [4] and the cation [>?-C5H5V(NO)3]+ [5]. The most important methods used to obtain these complexes consist of treatment of carbonyl complexes wi...
متن کاملHaem-binding-site heterogeneity and haem Cotton effects of Glycera dibranchiata monomeric haemoglobins.
The five major components of the monomeric haemoglobin from Glycera dibranchiata were separated and characterized by absorption spectroscopy, isoelectric focusing, azide-binding affinities and nitrosyl autoreduction kinetics. The differences found among the components are discussed in terms of haem-pocket variations. In addition, the Fourier-transform i.r. spectra of pooled monomeric haemoglobi...
متن کاملElectrochemical Behaviour of the Fe ( CO ) 3 NO ° Ion
Polarographic studies have been carried out recently on several carbonyl1 and carhonyl-nitrosyl 2 complexes with the aim of obtaining information on the electronic structure of the M — CO and M — NO bonds. In the reduction of carbonyl complexes the electronic change is localized on a prevailing central metal orbital. In the nitrosyl complexes, however, it is the JTNO 2 orbital which is involved...
متن کاملFluorine substituent effects on dihydrogen bonding of transition metal hydrides.
Hydrogen and dihydrogen bonding of the fluorinated alcohol (CF(3))(2)CHOH with the transition metal complex WH(CO)(2)(NO)(PMe(3))(2) has been explored by a set of four exemplary density functional theory methods that comprises the BP86, PBE, B3LYP and TPSS functionals. The hydride, nitrosyl and carbonyl ligands of the tungsten complex have been considered as sites of protonation. The main effec...
متن کاملOrganometallic Migration Reactions
A molecular orbital study of the reaction path for the methyl migration reaction in CH3Mn(C0)5, the "carbonyl insertion reaction", is the starting point for a general analysis of organometallic migration reactions. The reaction path contains a five-coordinate intermediate and a transition state close in energy to the intermediate. Among the questions studied are the stereochemical course of the...
